Overview

This project is designed as an entry point into AI and robotics, so no prior experience is required. If you’re curious about how robots work and want to start building real systems, this is a great place to begin. You’ll learn by doing, step by step, in a supportive team environment. Basic programming knowledge helps, but motivation and willingness to learn matter most.

Description

GRASP is a beginner-friendly AI robotics project focused on building a custom-made robotic arm. The goal is to teach the robotic arm to pick up and move objects using simple vision and control.

The project starts from the basics: setting up the robot, understanding how to control it, and building simple pick-and-place actions. From there, you’ll gradually introduce AI elements, such as using a camera to detect objects and guide the robot’s movements.

By the end, you’ll have hands-on experience with robotics, computer vision, and simple AI concepts, all applied to a real working system. The focus is not just on the final result, but on building a strong foundation and understanding how intelligent robotic systems are created.
